Regional Centre for Lighting

The two days training course on “LED Lighting Technology” organized by the Regional Center for Lighting (RCL) was conducted successfully on 10th and 11th July 2014 at the auditorium of Regional Center for Lighting (RCL).

About 25 participants participated in for the program from state and private sector organizations. Program was comprised of several lectures on LED lighting technology and a practical session on LED assembling and photomatric measurments. 

Lectures were delivered by

• Eng. H.K. Illeperuma – Chief Engineer (RCL)
• Eng. Lochana Palayangoda – Electrical Engineer (LECO)
• Eng. Dinusha Thotagamuwa – Electrical Engineer (RCL)
• Eng. Prabath Illangakoon – Electrical Engineer (RCL)
• Eng. Asiri Indrajith – Electrical Engineer (RCL)

RCL has designed a street lighting system for Imaduwa town which is being rehabilitated under “Imaduwa town Development Program” upon the request of Imaduwa Pradeshiya Sabha.

With the participation of 25 participants from government and private sectors, outdoor lighting institute concluded successfully.
